The ANU Commencement Address is the first official event of the academic year, serving as an opportunity for staff and existing students to welcome new students to ANU. The Commencement Address provides new students with an understanding of the values, history and traditions of ANU through speeches by the Vice-Chancellor, high-profile speakers and student representatives.

The 2022 keynote address will be delivered by ANU Alumna Mikaela Jade, CEO and Founder of Indigital Edutech.
