Thwarting the Twins is the 7.2 Artifact Skin Challenge scenario for Shadow Priests, Balance Druids, Frost Mages, Marksman Hunters and Affliction Locks! This video shows the Thwarting the Twins encounter from a Shadow Priest PoV and provides tips and advice on how to beat the Thwarting the Twins challenge. For the record, I was NOT able to complete the encounter at the time of this video (903 ilvl shadow priest, 41 traits, Prydaz but no Sephuz) but I did see all three phases. I gave it over 40 tries so I'm confident that I just need more gear/Sephuz or both at this point.

Thwarting the Twins will needs raid consumables! Bring flasks, (Whispered Pact for Int users), Potions (I used Prolonged Power but a Prolonged Power for Pre-pot and Deadly Grace for second pot may be better), Drums of the Mountain for non-mages and I recommend the Bear Tartare food. Bear Tartare will give you a 5 second sprint each time you kill an enemy, which you can get almost 100% uptime on during phases 2 and 3 with good add management.

For legendaries, I STRONGLY recommend Prydaz and Sephuz. Thwarting the Twins is a kiting encounter and the Sephuz sprint will make it much less stressful. I also recommend setting up mouseover macros for your Silence (or counter-shot, counter-spell, spell lock) to kick the Grasp from Beyond without scrambling to swap targets. Combine the mouseover macro with boss frames (I use Shadowed Unit Frames in this video) to quickly stop the hand casts.

For talents, I used Twist of Fate (procs off the little adds), Body and Soul (I tried Mania but only like it for the cheese strat. Maybe Sephuz+Mania would be better), Mind Bomb (Mandatory). Lingering Insanity (take Reaper of Souls for S2M Cheese), Auspicious Spirits, Misery (Power Infusion for S2M Cheese) and Legacy of the Void although S2M may be better even for non-cheese.
