FOR SALE is a 1969 Porsche 912 that is probably the most well documented 912 in the world. This is a TRUE ONE OWNER Porsche that was purchased on 1/18/1969 at Wester Motor Inc. The original owner stated that he waited months until a 5-speed came in at the dealership, and as soon as it did he bought it! Wester Motor Inc was an iconic Porsche-VW dealer serving the Monterey Peninsula area, back in the day. It is very recognized in the porsche community. We have all the original dealer paperwork such as; the original window sticker, sales contract, owners manuals, dealer maintenance record book and much more. We also have the original CA pink slip! If you think that is astonishing, it does not end there. The original owner kept every single service record since he bought the car new. Meaning I have service records from Wester Motors when he took it into the dealership to service it until they shut down and he began taking it to other reputable Porsche mechanics on the peninsula. Furthermore he kept a detailed log book of every time he did an oil change, every single registration for the car since 1969, and even all of his insurance cards through the years. When I state this is the most documented 912 in the world, I truly believe it! I have never seen anything like this in our 30 years of business. He drove this car all around the US, Canada, and mexico! This was his baby! But it was locally owned in Carmel Valley its whole life. Everytime he would park the car someone would leave a note asking him if he would sell it, funny enough he even kept all those notes as well. Go through the video and check out all the records, it will blow your mind! The original owner has gotten quite old, and he has not been driving it much in the past few years. He worries that if anything happens to him his family wouldn't know what to do with this car. I took lots of videos of him telling me about the car. I can share them with the new owner. That's the history now let's talk about the car. The exterior is finished in OSSI BLUE. Paint is deep, glossy, and for an old paint job it has held up very well. No previous accidents, no real rust issues ever. The original color was paint code 6809. The interior of this vehicle is virtually flawless and in great condition with no signs of excessive wear. Watch the video and see for yourself! This car maintains its original matching number rims according to the original owner. Mechanically it runs and drives great although it could use a good service due to the fact it sat for some time. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts through all gears. The clutch, brakes, and steering are all in good working order. It is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. I do not believe the block is matching numbers but the 5-Speed transmission is. The only modification in the engine bay is the dual Solex carburetors.
