Fatima Franzen cheered with the crowd from the front row of a Republican rally in Plymouth the day before Election Day. As she chanted 'one more day' with the group, she was all smiles to meet Mitt Romney's son, Josh.

"Everybody's so energetic," said Franzen. "I came here to celebrate we are going to win. I can feel it in the air. I can see it; I can taste it."

When Franzen got an email late Sunday night, she grabbed her sign and buttons and was the first supporter to show up on Monday morning. She, like others, hopes energy bottled up in this Plymouth warehouse space can spread.

"I've been a part of a lot of campaigns, but the energy I see from this Republican Party is unlike anything I've seen in any campaign," said Rick Aguilar, chairman of the Hispanic Republican Assembly of Minnesota.

Aguilar says the campaign energy reminds him of George W. Bush's victory in 2000.

"We're feeling good about this, here in Minnesota," said Josh Romney to the crowd of supporters. "We're feeling really good about how things look. We've never seen so much energy."

While the state of Minnesota seemed to be somewhat ignored during much of the campaign season, several key players have been making pit stops in the state during the past week. Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan visited St. Paul over the weekend and former president Bill Clinton has visited Minnesota twice in the past week.

Political pundit Blois Olson says the Plymouth stop was a strategic one.

"Largely this is about suburban women. They voted in big waves for Obama in 2008 and this year they're less committed to Obama and Plymouth is a perfect place where they might pick up some undecided women voters to vote for Mitt Romney," said Olson.

Olson says if the Romney campaign loses swing states like Pennsylvania or Ohio, Minnesota could make up crucial electoral votes.

"It's not just is Minnesota close, it's probably his plan B strategy which is to win other states other than Ohio," said Olson.
