Bale time! She grabs a quick feed; Australian magpies are the best birds

I'd only just come out when she showed up. Usually lately he arrives first but he missed out today. I'm pretty sure she was watching for me so she got a bale and what looks like a pretty good feed. I should have moved the bale back a little further – I'll try and check that in future.

When she left she headed straight for the nest. She got lucky as I wasn't going to spend very long in the veg patch – just water the delicate seeds and young plants before heading to the nursery and go to town. There was only a small window of opportunity for her and I'm glad she took advantage. Fighty worm at 2:30...

I noticed editing yesterday's video that the banana tree on crutches was visible as I went past. I thought I should show it properly as there was a bit of curiosity after I did it about how it was going. I need to cut a couple of leaves off but no other changes.

It seems like no matter how long I spend around the veg patch, there's always more to do than I have time for. And there are always plans I make – things to try growing, pruning or planting techniques – that I never seem to get to. Ah well...
