Reaching faster speeds with minimum effort is what I think most runners want, and this can be achieved by opening up your stride and getting those running steps as long as possible. The benefits will include more comfort in running and also covering more distance at a given duration.

This video is what I would consider the first step into comfortably lengthening your stride: mobility. Some dynamic stretches will help your joints open up, so that your stride opens up. I will show you a combination of 3 exercise variations that will be put into one, but as it is often the case in any form of exercise and stretch, it is the way you do it that matters. Not the exercise in itself!

In the next 2 videos, we'll add stride length power exercises to you newly found flexibility and integrate those stride openers into running drills for live practice on the track or on your trails.
