The Special 25th anniversary of Pokemon Cards was celebrated just under 3 short years ago with the release of Celebrations. This specialty Pokemon Card set was met with mixed reviews as it was much smaller and lacked a true chase that many Pokemon Card Fans were used to. Instead of the difficult Pokemon Card Pull Rates we were used to in the Sword and Shield Block, Celebrations featured easier pull rates with the likelihood of fulfilling a Pokemon Card Master Set much quicker than normal sets.

During it's release, Pokemon Card Collecting was at an all time high with a lot of focus being paid to the money side of things. The idea behind Pokemon Card Investing was sweeping the community with thoughts of Celebrations being a sure-fire hit. However, nearly 3 years later, the mass amount of Celebrations Pokemon Cards that were printed seems to have stymied the idea behind big returns on a Pokemon Card Investment. Many Pokemon Card Collectors have expressed regret regarding their investment. While money could have been made at a higher rate in something else, was Celebrations truly a poor investment? With the amount of stories these Pokemon Cards tell and the enjoyment coupled with the nostalgic feeling of opening Celebrations Booster Packs is it possible that Celebrations will be loved for a long time?
