Year 1994. Nirja Guleri’s show ‘Chandrakanta’ aired on Doordarshan. Families got hooked to the show. Kids used to mimic the characters. One such favourite character was Kroor Singh, who used Yakk as a catchphrase. Kids often used to call Yakk as Yakkoo Yakkoo. It was actor Akhilendra Mishra who portrayed Kroor Singh’s character.
