How I Breed Rummy Nose Tetras.

Hi Everyone!
This video is about how I breed rummy nose tetras.
Rummy nose tetras are easy to breed as long as we have mature fish.
We don't even need to adjust the water parameters. For me, I just used dechlorinated tap water.
But I have to say the hatching rate was not that good.
So maybe you should have a higher hatching rate if using RO water as breeding water. I haven't tried that, so I'm not very sure.
The breeding tank setup was the same as the one I used for breeding my cardinal tetras. You can check this video to see how I set up the breeding tank.
   • Cardinal Tetra Breeding Attempt  
Typically, the rummy noses spawn within 2-3 days in the tank. If they don't breed in that period, we need to put them back in their community tank and try again after 1-2 weeks.
As for hatching, it only takes one day. But you should check on them from time to time and pick out the moldy eggs. I didn't do this step in this video. That's why you saw there were so many moldy eggs and the hatching result wasn't ideal.

繁殖缸的设置和我上次繁殖宝莲灯一模一样。个人觉得一般普通的脂鲤科都能
采用这种方式繁殖。你可以通过这个视频了解繁殖缸的设置。

一般当我们把鱼放进繁殖缸后，我们唯一做的事就是耐心等待和每天中午的查卵。
一般情况下红鼻剪刀鱼会在进繁殖缸后的2-3天内产卵。如果这时间段内不产卵，我们
就得把它们放回原缸，过1-2周进行再一次尝试。

关于孵化，红鼻剪刀鱼一天之内就就孵化了，我忘记了一步操作，那就是在孵化过程中，会有
一部分鱼卵因为某种原因不会孵化，最后霉变。我们应该时不时去看孵化情况，并把孵化过程中
变白的鱼卵去掉，以免它们危害好的鱼卵。
我没有做这一步操作，也是我这次孵化率低的原因之一。
