FC Girondins de Bordeaux are six-time French champions, seventeen-time trophy winners, and their alumni includes the likes of Jules Koundé, Jean Tigana, and Zinedine Zidane.

Les Girondins sit second in the all time Ligue 1 table, trailing only Marseille, but following relegation from Ligue 1 in 2022, and an enforced relegation this season, the French giants just gave up their professional licence.

In this video, two years on from first looking at the club, HITC Sevens takes an even bigger look at Bordeaux's downfall, how their demise has been allowed to happen, and what it means for the world of football.
