The camera is located inside a screech owl box and is part of a large research project to study the screech owls. The boxes will be used in the winter for day-time roosting and night-time feeding/caching of prey. In the spring the screech owls will start mating activity and will hopefully pick one of our 9 owl boxes to nest in. The 9 owl boxes with cameras are located in a rural area of SW Pennsylvania over a 10 acre area.

There is a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera that we can remotely move around and view the owls outside the boxes.
