Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has responded to reports claiming he is on complete bed rest and may miss the upcoming Champions Trophy. Bumrah sustained an injury on January 7 during the first innings of the 5th Test match against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). Following this, several Indian media outlets reported that Bumrah was suffering from a back injury and had gone on bed rest, casting doubt on his participation in the Champions Trophy. The reports suggested that his back issues were serious, and doctors had advised rest before returning to cricket. However, Bumrah took to X (formerly Twitter) to deny these rumors, calling them fake and laughing off the claims. In the recent Test series against Australia, Bumrah bowled 151.2 overs across five matches, taking 32 wickets, and was the most successful bowler of the series. The Champions Trophy is set to begin on February 19, with India also scheduled to play a five-match T20 series against England starting January 22, followed by three ODI matches.
