Big-time motor racing came to Malaysia in sweltering heat and humidty when 16 of the top sports cars battled out the Selangor 800 near Kuala Lumpur in the 1985 World Sportscar Championship.

The race was a close competition between the factory Porsches (Derek Bell, Hans Stuck, Jochen Mass & Jacky Ickx) and Jaguars, (Jan Lammers, Gianfranco Brancatelli) with a few Fords thrown in for good measure.

There is a lot more to success than merely engaging the quickest drivers - behind-the-scenes pit-work is equally important and you are right in there working alongside the mechanics. Find out who was first across the line after over 200 punishing laps lasting over five-and-a-half hours.
