If you have been following my channel for a while; you would know what Reiki is but today I am going to speak about the 2 different forms of Reiki.

Both these forms aren't different as one has evolved and originated from the other. Usui Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui and his students Hawaya Takata & Chujiro Hayashi and was spread throughout the world as Usui Reiki. Karuna Reiki was developed by a student of Hawaya Takata; Reiki Master William Lee Rand.

So, one can logically say that Karuna Reiki has its roots in Usui Reiki. But, much talk about the origins. Let us dive into the more crucial questions of importance and efficacy. While neither system is superior to the other; it is generally agreed upon by Reiki Masters and Grandmasters throughout the World that one can only learn Karuna Reiki after learning Usui Reiki. This is so because Karuna Reiki has been developed using the base and same energy system of Usui Reiki.

Usui Reiki helps in healing the self; balancing the mind and healing and influencing the lives of others who may ask for your healings. Whereas, Karuna Reiki is exceptionally useful for removing past life blockages and stubborn issues. All these are heavy terms and these require their own set of explanations and there is no better way to give one than giving a good example.

Assume there is a person who has faced abuse as a child and generally remains fearful of certain people or behavior patterns. He has framed his behavior and mentality according to the experiences he has had in the past. He has some certain set of fears he is unable to tell any other person. Due to this; this person starts experiencing low self esteem. This often happens because survivors of such acts fail to find an outlet. Even if such a person complaints; most people don't believe it and hence the vicious cycle.

Now with Karuna Reiki which has a higher vibrational frequency than Usui Reiki and symbols such as Zonar that can remove past blockages with ease; it permits the practitioner (the survivor of such abuse) to forgive himself. In most cases; people blame themselves and one has to forgive themselves and understand that they did the best they could and they have to take life as it comes. It's easier said than done but with Karuna Reiki which changes the inner energy system; it is easy to let go of past trauma.

A high self esteem can be developed by changing the energy of the person in those affected chakras. And undoubtedly, Karuna Reiki is more proficient than Usui Reiki to do that. Having said that, one can never completely do away with the basic symbols of Usui Reiki because each one of the Karuna Reiki symbols have their own special functions. One Reiki symbol might attract wealth while the other may attract love and happiness into their lives! Usui Reiki also has powerful symbols that generally enrich our lives and manifest abundance and love!
