In this video I fix the cracked and sticky dashboard in my 2005 Toyota 4Runner (also known as the 4th Gen 4Runner). The dashboard in these early 4th gen 4Runners was prone to crack and get really sticky and there are various fixes for this problem including, for a short period of time, Toyota actually replacing the whole dash. However, if you didn't get in on that replacement program you'll have to figure some other way to deal with it. Thankfully, a company called Coverlay has come up with an ingenious fix that is very DIY. They've created a vacuum moulded dash cover made out of ABS plastic that looks and fits almost as good as the factory dash. It's relatively easy to install with a little patience and attention to detail. It's also pretty affordable considering the cost of a factory fresh unit.

The model number for the Coverlay Dash Cover in this video is 11-308S BLK. Coverlay has a website in which you can select your specific vehicle and check if they sell a cover for your vehicle. I purchased my unit from RockAuto.
