SYNOPSIS
Often times we install any software we want to use on an electronic device we find for ourselves. Some of the software range from system software (windows OS on computers and other mobile devices, Android Operating system, Apple IOS, etc) and application software (examples include whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, tiktok, etc).
Apparently some of these software come pre-installed on devices we purchase. For example you purchase an android device such as Samsung, Huawei, Xioami, OnePlus, Tecno, Infinix, etc with Android OS pre-installed and all you do is to accept the EULA to singin and begin using the device. Apple devices are no exemption to this as users accept the EULA on their devices. Some Pcs such as IMac and Macbooks also come with MACOS pre-installed. The HPs, Dells, Lenovo, Toshiba, Asus and MSI Pcs also come with windows and Linux pre-installed.
Whenever we chance on these devices, all we do is to accept the EULA (End-user License Agreement) without reading the details cos at the end of the day you either accept everything or you stop using them. Today we are looking at what these EULAs contain as well as the PRIVACY STATEMENT POLICIES that accompany these License Agreements. Facebook has been heavily criticized for updating their Agreement Policy to permit sharing privacy data with Facebook.
Do you know that Microsoft does worse?
Do you know that Google also does worse?
Do you know that Apple does similar?
Why then is whatsapp heavily criticized for following suit?
