CataractCoach 1493: stop and chop phaco technique

Описание к видео CataractCoach 1493: stop and chop phaco technique

Our guest surgeon does a beautiful job demonstrating the stop-and-chop phaco technique. We have featured this technique many times before because it is a great way to transition to a full chop technique. Stop-and-chop means that a single groove is sculpted in the nucleus which is then cracked into two halves. Then the surgeon stops and chops each half into smaller segments which are then phaco-aspirated from the eye. There are some advantages to this technique even for advanced surgeons and I encourage you to master stop-and-chop.
