Climbing Knots: How to Tie a Double Fisherman's Knot / Bend (Animated Tutorial)

Описание к видео Climbing Knots: How to Tie a Double Fisherman's Knot / Bend (Animated Tutorial)

The double fisherman's knot, more correctly called the double fisherman's bend, is a way of securely joining the end's of two ropes together. The double fisherman's knot is tied by forming two overhand knots, and pulling them together. Because the knots can be very hard to untie after being put under a load, they are most commonly used to create prusik loops. The ends of two climbing ropes may also be attached with a double fisherman's bend for a full rope-length rappel. Additionally, a triple fisherman's knot may be created through the same method with two triple overhand knots.

CLIMBING IS A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND YOU SHOULD SEEK PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE BEFORE TRYING ANY OF THESE METHODS ON YOUR OWN
