Hot Dog Happiness: The Perfect Portable Lunch or Snack!

Maybe it's a pig in a blanket? It's a hotdog wrapped up in it's own soft, fluffy roll. Use your favorite precooked wiener or sausage. Then, you can add in cheese, mustard, onion, etc. Feeling fancy? Top with seeds or everything bagel seasoning like I did in the thumbnail pic. Finally, grab a dip. How about some chili? I think these are great for lunches, picnics, or parties. You might need to make a double batch!

59 g - 1/4 c warm water*
2 g - 3/4 tsp instant yeast**
12 g - 1 tbsp sugar
120 g - 1 c flour
14 g - 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
12 g - 1 tbsp neutral oil
5 wieners or pre-cooked sausages, I used beef franks.

To top with seeds, coat with egg wash so that seeds stick.

*temps given in video, but it should feel warm not hot.
**if you use active dry yeast, take the time to proof your yeast (let it sit with the water and sugar until you see bubbles before proceeding)
