Here's a guide for Valla, the Demon Hunter from Diablo 3. This is one of several possible builds for her and is the current favorite of most competitive players.

It emphasizes the Multi-Shot (W) ability with Battle Momentum on 7 to reduce cooldowns, Blood for Blood (1) on 16 to add some sustain and cut into enemy tanks, and Bolt of the Storm (2) on 20 for increased mobility.

The trick to playing Valla well is maintaining good positioning and maximizing your damage output. She will often lead the scoreboards in both Siege and Hero damage. Still she has one of the lowest health pools in the game and can easily be stunned into oblivion.

Watch out for enemy CC, particularly when you use Strafe, your preferred heroic. Play safe, but also risky enough to unload as much firepower as possible on the enemy team. Valla also excels at clearing waves late game so make sure to keep the lanes pushed back.

Remember, there's always more than one way to play a hero and some of these talents will ideally change depending on the composition of both teams and the map, but this is a good start for someone with little experience looking to solo queue.
