Once you’re generating leads and staying busy, you need to master the ability to never say “no” to a project (it sounds easier than it is). Your goal is to amass a client base that you can sell new solutions to over many years, every time you say “no” to work you’re saying on to years of revenue from that client.

But there are only so many hours in the day right?

That’s where scheduling comes in. You need to make sure that when certain projects are in the client’s hands for review, others are on your desk being worked on. That will allow you time to also dedicate to continuing the development of your business.

This is also a process that is scaleable. Once you have subcontractors helping you with work, you can apply the same scheduling framework.
