In this video, we are going to perform an activity to test for protein in food samples using Copper Sulphate Solution and Sodium Hydroxide Solution. What happens? When we add NaOH solution and then CuSO4 solution (a few drops) to a food sample containing protein, the solution changes its color to a blue/violet shade.

Here, we have taken 3 different types of food samples that include Milk Solution, Tomato Solution, and Solution made from protein powder. To check the results and understand the concept, watch the video till the end.
