It was a spur of the moment decision. In short, it was unplanned. Initially, We thought of going somewhere else but we ended up here. It was closed for several weeks because of the recent COVID 19 pandemic but was just reopened again just last week. Although Some features and amenities are still closed like the zoo, the botanical greenhouse and the pools, still we enjoyed every moment of our visit. After a series of lockdowns and quarantines, we need to go out, breathe a bit of fresh air and basque under the heat of the glorious sunshine.

The highlight of our visit was the witnessing first hand of the amazingly beautiful cherry blossoms that pull million tourists during its blooming season every year. The lovely sight must be attributed to the Japanese people for their donations of these trees that solidifies the friendship of Japan and Canada for many decades. These has been enjoyed by tourists and Canadians for over 60 years.
