Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) had the honour to organise the 24th WAIPA World Investment Conference (WIC19).

The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) is an international non-governmental organization established in 1995 by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Through its wide range of activities, WAIPA provides the opportunity for investment promotion agencies (IPAs) to network and exchange best practices in investment promotion.

Each year, in cooperation with one of the member IPAs, WAIPA organizes the World Investment Conference. The 2019 edition was held in Warsaw (Poland), on 7-8th October. The conference was focused on prospects, challenges and role of IPAs regarding the future of the Foreign Direct Investment, impact of digitalization on the FDI flow and new models of executing investments. The participants, including the top IPAs managers as well as OECD, UNCTAD, World Bank and UNIDO representatives debated the current stage of the global economy.
