How to test the assumption of normality for multivariate analysis in SPSS.

The Kolmogorov-Smirnov One-sample Test for Normality using the Mahalanobis distance scores, or the Doornik-Hansen Test using the Minimum Covariance Determinant tests the assumption of normality for subsequent multivariate analysis. This video demonstrates what type of variables are relevant for multivariate analysis using a dataset derived from a survey instrument. The survey instrument is presented showing the items measuring the variables for the test. The dataset is shown within the statistical program being used for the test. The procedures for test are demonstrated. The output for the test is described.
