Update:
1. I said the R8 strip was glued on. It isn't. It has snap tabs.
2. I said the side blade assembly had two bolts holding it to the rear quarter, they are snap tabs (the ones I was pointing to).

THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING THE SIDE BLADE SUB-ASSEMBLY PLASTIC AND THE INTAKE MESH PLASTIC. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!

This part from blacktopmods.com solves the problem that surfaces when a v8 owner buys the v10 side blade (because it's flared and looks cooler). The result in a large gap between the new flared side blade and the old intake mesh.

If you buy one from Audi it costs $1,029 (passenger side) and $1, 032 (drivers side). And you can't get honeycomb And it comes UN-painted.

So you have a client who switched out his R8 V8 side blades for the flared V10 side blades. There is a huge gap and now he's bummed out. So you told him about BLACKTOP MODS v10 intake mesh and he got one or you got one for them.

Now you have to install it and you realize it's attached to the side blade sub-assembly via plastic weld. No problem. I'm not a body guy, but I figured it out, so I'm sharing it with you.

You'll need a plastic weld heat gun (NOT a normal size heat gun). I used he one from Harbor Freight ( https://www.harborfreight.com/plastic... ) I looked on amazon, but none of them have the right tip (right tip in video).

You NEED to be careful NOT to damage the white tabs that you'll need to re-use (unless you plan on buying new ones from Audi).
