Antispin Exposed! Watch How I Finally Figured Out His Serve and Go Toe to Toe with Michael O in 4k!

Just finished my 3rd match against Michael O., who plays antispin on one side. This was only my second time ever playing against antispin, and it’s been a challenge, but one that I’m starting to really enjoy!

Although my legs weren’t feeling great, I was able to adapt during this match, and I’m really happy with my gameplay. For the first time, I started figuring out Michael’s tricky serves, especially in the 3rd and 4th games. I hung back a little more from the table, which paid off, but what really made a difference was my epiphany: focusing on the ball speed and adjusting my backswing accordingly. That realization was a game-changer for me.

My returns were landing at a much higher percentage, and Michael and I even chatted about it after the match. Our rallies were longer, and my backhands were hitting more consistently. The challenge of antispin is something I’m really starting to appreciate—it requires a faster racket speed due to the slower ball return, which is something I’m now realizing and enjoying working on.

I wish this match went to 5 games—it was that close! Hopefully, soon, it will.
