The Life of Aristotle

Описание к видео The Life of Aristotle

A short educational film on the life of Aristotle, who was a great philosopher and scientist, to celebrate his birth exactly 2,400 years ago.

By the time he died, in his late fifties, he had changed the way people thought about the natural world and how humans behave forever.
He made huge advances in logic, mathematics, science (especially biology and zoology), ethics, political theory, the way we understand art and literature and the way we think about the possibility of a god or gods.

He lived in at least eight different places in Greece and what is now Turkey. He lived most of his life in the shadow of the rising Kingdom of Macedon and was the teacher of Alexander the Great when he was a teenager.

I decided to visit each one of them to ask what each environment might have added to his experience. Each place must have contributed to the development of his thought.
