Hi!

This isn't my best video, it's a bit messy, sorry about that!
The shots are a bit shaky, I'm shaky, the camera doesn't always focus.
And at one point, I was so busy and in 'the zone' that I forgot what exactly was going to be on camera.
So you can't really see what I'm doing....
I'll take that with me, won't let that happen again!

However... how long have I wanted to combine bright green with purple and pink?!
The ultimate recipe for 'mud', which mixes into ugly brown colors together!
What if I add brown to it in advance? Like a kind of 'colorblock'.
Not trying is not knowing, so I took on this challenge.
And I used some beautiful pigments, which give a very nice shimmer and colorshift!

I had some kind of plan, with layering the colors.
But by the third swipe, I didn't know where I wanted to go anymore.
I could have taken the first swipe more broadly, but now it disrupted my composition idea in my head.
So I suddenly lost my way... and no longer had control over where I was going.
The first outcome was not to my liking.
The dynamics in the composition were too confusing, it wasn't right!
So I continued, I wanted to customize it even more to my taste.
And then in cases like this, usually the same thing 'happens'... I slap some more paint on it!
Why not!? Through 'transfer swipes' of course...
They are not easy, you think you have control, but it only seems that way.
Anyway, this color palette pops, the contrast works, and I'm happy!
I hope you can enjoy it too!

Thank you, have a great day and see you soon! x

How I make my BASE:

Talens Art Creation Titanium White and Owatrol floetrol (1:3 minimal water added). I do this in portions (cups) of 35 grams of Titanium White and 105 grams of Owatrol, and usually add 5 grams of water. I make larger stocks of this, and always try to let it rest for at least 2 days so that it has fewer air bubbles

The COLORS I used:

TLP Comet
TLP Glisten
TLP Parakeet
TLP Athena
ColourArte PE Citrine Druzy
Eye Candy Pigments Sushi Roll (colorshift)
Golden Van Dyke Brown Hue
Golden Green Gold
Golden Permanent Violet Dark
Golden Transparent Brown Iron Oxide
Golden Sap Green Hue
Amsterdam Expert Permanent Red Violet

I MIX MY COLORS also with Owatrol floetrol. Ratio depends on the pigmentation and thickness of the paint, also a very small amount of water added for consistency, but slightly thinner than the base.

I first wet my PIGMENTS with a little JoSonja varnish until I have a paste. Then I add a small scoop of binder (Caparol). I also use Owatrol as PM with the pigments and that is not paint. It therefore lacks the binding. And I personally don't like it when colors become 'runny'. So that's how I solve it. Then I also add Owatrol floetrol to this, I do that by eye, in the same consistency as the other colours.

I make my CELL ACTIVATOR with acrylic paint and Australian floetrol (1:2). I used Amsterdam Titanium White here. For the Gold cell activator I mix two different types of Gold. I use Golden Bright Gold and Amsterdam Deep Gold (1:3 approximately). Because Amsterdam works well, and Golden to make the color more beautiful!

I first started with flip cups and open cups. I then went all out on the Flower Dips (with the bottle bottom and a paper napkin). Next I made straight pours for more than half a year. The Wandering pours were my favorite! Since the beginning of 2024, I have started working with 'cell activators' and learned how to swipe. I will continue to do that, I expect, there are so many possibilities!
