Josh Okeefe has been up to good things this past year. We led our little caravan to Oklahoma last year for his much applauded and encored performance at the Woody Guthrie festival, gracing the same stage that Woody performed on, in his dusty old hometown of Okemah. There I heard a whole score of new songs, like this one, "Son Of The Workin' Class". As always Josh is delivering cutting, meaningful songs in the spirit of the old folk tunes I love. Songs for the underdog, the downtrodden, the folks who need a song to lift em up. Good songs, ones I'd stand behind the value of any day.

He played it for us on a summer day over at our friend Eric's house - where, fun fact, we've shot videos of Benjamin Tod, Charley Crockett and Sierra Ferrell.
