Jebel Shams - the SUN MOUNTAIN - in Oman is the tallest peak in the Gulf. I recently decided to hike it alone, to enjoy its beauty in silence. Remember: when hiking, always take precautions! I have extensive experience in the outdoors and whenever I trek alone, I take very specific safety measures. I would ALWAYS recommend hiking with other people, however. Take care and enjoy!
