Inspired by Genesis 2:
Verse 1:
When God had finished all His ways,
The heavens and the earth were made.
He rested then on the seventh day,
Blessed and holy, His rest would stay.
All His work was done, complete,
All creation bowed at His feet.

Chorus:
🎶 In the garden, east of Eden,
Life began by God’s own hand.
From the dust He breathed within us,
Gave us breath and let us stand.
In His image, made to tend it,
Every tree and stream so grand.
In the garden, east of Eden,
God walked with man. 🎶

Verse 2:
No rain had fallen from the skies,
But a mist rose up to rise.
Watered earth from deep below,
Where seeds and life began to grow.
Then from the ground, by love divine,
God formed man — His grand design.
Breathed His life into his frame,
And living soul became his name.

Life began by God’s own hand.

Verse 3:
God planted trees both fair and sweet,
The fruit was good, the shade complete.
The Tree of Life stood in the midst,
And Knowledge stood beside its twist.
A river flowed, dividing four,
Through lands of gold and stones in store.
Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel’s flow,
And Euphrates where waters go.

Bridge:
🎵 “Of every tree you may freely eat,”
The Lord God said with voice so sweet.
“But of the tree of good and wrong,
You must not eat, or life is gone.”
For love obeys, and trust is clear,
God’s word was given for man to hear. 🎵

Verse 4:
God saw Adam, standing lone,
No one yet to call his own.
So from the earth, both beast and bird,
God formed them all by His own word.
Adam named them, one by one,
Yet no helper like him was found.
So God gave sleep, a deep, deep rest,
And formed a woman from his chest.

Chorus:

God made woman by His plan.
Bone of bone and flesh of flesh,
Side by side they’d walk the land.
Two made one, no shame between them,
Pure and holy, heart to hand.
In the garden, east of Eden,
God walked with man. 🎶

Now we remember where life began,
The breath of God in dust and sand.
His voice still calls through every land,
To walk again, hand in hand.
In His image, love was sown,
In Eden’s heart, our first home grown.
