Come and discover the colorful and bright neon signs of Osaka along with Tamago Travels. The dazzling lights attract tourists as flies to a lamp accommodated with the food street with various street food and amazing advertising. It's a must go for every traveler.

We'll be starting our journey at Nippombashi metro station where we will find a Dragon Quest themed Lawson, which is a convenience store chain in Japan. They sell official merchandise from Square Enix. After we will stumble upon an arcade which typically locals attend after their work or school. We will see how the gaming locals spend their time with retro arcade games, gachapon and claw machines.

Just behind Dotonbori food street, is a hidden temple named Hozen-ji Temple. If the busy and grungy style of Dotonbori's 80's atmosphere becomes too much for you this is a peaceful place to hide for a few moments. Afterwards the contrast is felt when we enter the Food Street, where all the travelers gather to try the various street food and admire the colorful signs. Takoyaki, which are dough balls filled with Octopus parts is Osaka's soul food and many shops and stalls can be found selling this food. It's a must try for every tourist so we will try it as well. To freshen up after the snack we will take a look at the vending machines and have a seventeen ice cream.

The end of the street is near and the most iconic place opens up before us in Osaka, Dotonbori Canal. Along the canal you can take a nice walk and look at the industrial 80's and 90's buildings that sprouted during Japan's booming era. Many cruises are going throughout the day and it's a truly unique atmosphere that can only be found here in Osaka. After a while we will reach Dotonbori's Canal most visited spot, which is Ebisubashi bridge where we can see the most iconic electric signs that Osaka has to offer. Along with the everlasting Glico Running man which stands proud for over 100 years. Along the canal there is also another unique building the discount store of Don Quijote with it's huge yellow and red ferris wheel and the Asahi Beer sign.

For a last stroll through the Dotonbori food street we will also encounter, candied fruit, conveyor belt sushi, Kushikatsu fried sticks and Gyoza restaurants. You can go visit a karaoke shop or listen to one of the many street performers on the street.

All combined it's an obvious place for any tourist to visit, let's visit together!
