In September, Bitcoin (BTC) spot markets have displayed stability after a turbulent August, hovering above $25,000.

A notable shift occurred on Thursday as BTC/USDT surged 1.9% to close at $26,255, marking September's strongest daily performance for the world's largest cryptocurrency.

However, the broader perspective reveals Bitcoin's lingering stagnation due to historically low trading volumes influenced by market apprehension.

Importantly the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has introduced a framework to monitor and mitigate perceived risks posed by cryptocurrencies to traditional finance stability. The IMF cautions that widespread crypto adoption could disrupt monetary policy, bypass capital flow regulations, heighten fiscal vulnerabilities, and jeopardize global financial stability.

This assessment will be presented at the upcoming G20 summit in India. While aggregated open interest in the Bitcoin futures market has seen a recent uptick, it remains notably lower than August's figures. Currently, the global cryptocurrency market cap stands at $1.05 trillion, with Bitcoin dominance slightly increasing to 49.5%.
