Twisted Metal: Black … 22 Years Later

Twisted Metal: Black released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. It was the first game in the series to be developed by Incog Inc, a new studio comprised of members of the original team behind Twisted Metal 1 and 2.

Incog Inc were tasked with bringing a fully-featured Twisted Metal entry to the new, more powerful PlayStation 2 console. Not only did they deliver a well-made version of Twisted Metal, but they did with bold, horror-inspired themes that reimagined the world of Twisted Metal as dark and brooding.

However, despite how expertly crafted the world, tone, and stories were, David Jaffe, the main creative force of Twisted Metal: Black, admits that the gameplay is lacking, but is it really?
