Professor Tina Loo received the Harold Adams Innis Prize for her outstanding book States of Nature: Protecting Canadian Wildlife in the Twentieth Century which explores the rise of the modern environmental movement, ranging from the reliance on and practical knowledge of wildlife demonstrated by rural people to the scientific approach of todays state-sponsored environmentalism. She was honoured at UBC's Celebrate Research Week Gala.
