TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee Suspended After Ugly JPC Meet Scuffle | India Today

TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has been suspended from the next Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting on the Work Bill. The decision was taken following a disciplinary action against Banerjee, who caused disruption in a previous meeting. The suspension was decided by a vote under Rule 374, with nine votes in favour and seven against. The ruling party members initially wanted him suspended from the JPC itself, but it was later decided to suspend him for one day. The chairperson of the JPC, Jagdambika Pal, has issued a stern warning against such behaviour.
