Wooden Chess Boards: Drueke History and JLP Line

Описание к видео Wooden Chess Boards: Drueke History and JLP Line

Some history on wooden chess boards manufactured in USA including Drueke and JLP. William Drueke founded the company in 1914 in Michigan. It was originally in Grand Rapids Michigan and then moved to Ludington in 1990 after being sold to Carrom. In the mid 2000s Carrom Drueke discontinued most of the Drueke chess line including the hardwood chessboards that ranged in size from 15" to 26". The 21" Board was the most popular and the design has been resurrected in a nearly identical and even improved model under and entirely different brand and name, the JLP line.
