2. Choosing the material

3. How to make a purse frame pattern
This is how you make a frame clutch pattern from scratch. This works for all shapes and sizes of frames. Customize to your need.
a. Draw the outer edge of the frame
b. Add half inch adjustment allowance from the bottom edge of the frame outwards.
c. Measure your material and decide how tall you want your bag to be. Drop a line downwards and tapering outwards.
d. Draw a flat or rounded bottom.
e. Fold down the center line and draw mirror image on the other side. Add half inch seam allowance on all sides.
