Because I talk in german in this video here a summarized description in english:
The ukes I demonstrate and compare here are
Flight WUS3, Kiwaya KS-1, Brüko S001, Islander MS-4 (soldid), Ohana SK-38, Ohana SK-39).
All those ukes are available at a price point of ca. 300 Euros (besides the Brüko, this even starts at 150 Euros).

I liked all models. I personally stick to the Flight WUS 3 (laminate mahagony in the Kiwaya build quality) and the Brükos (I just totally support their products for several reasons).

The Kiwaya KS-1 is a fantastic ukulele, it plays great, feels great, sounds great and complex to me. It sounds close to an old Martin (although it does not and can not have the aged tone, vibe and is not that loud as a vintage 1950 Martin style 0 that I owned for a while). Next to the Flight WUS3 I found the WUS model a bit rounder, fuller and louder in sound. I will get a Kiwaya ukulele at some point anyways.
The WUS models are my current main models for gigging (on stage or busking, or playing in a church if I have the chance to do so).

The Ohanas sound very close to a somewhat vintage Martin too (without the above mentioned things). I recommend them too. Their sound definately will progress when playing them. A bit more open to my ears than the Kiwaya, which pronounces the higher mid frequences and the "bark" very well.

The Islander to me is an overall good ukulele. I did not like the nAquila strings on it (it depends on you, what to like and what not, so this is subjective here) and found the action a bit too high but this is typical for Kani'lea ukuleles in general because they say: "you can lower the action but you can not raise it with the same bridge saddle".

The Brüko (Bruko) sounds very "light" and "mellow" but has the quality to not pull out weak tones when going really hard. The bell like chimey tones and the soft bark pleases me a lot. Plus I like the fact that they are made in a small workshop where I can travel forth and back in one day. I like the Pfeiffers and their way to look at producing things. Great, really great ukes.
