Recent CCTV footage circulating online shows troubling scenes from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel on October 16, the day of Payne's death, believed to be linked to drug use. According to *The Daily Mail*, Payne was seen convulsing in the hotel lobby shortly before the incident.

A friend of Cassidy, 25, shared updates on her emotional state, revealing the depth of her devastation. “He could have been saved, he could have been helped. It’s devastating—and infuriating,” the source shared with *The Post*. They added, “Just when it seems it can’t get worse for Kate, it somehow does.”

The footage shows three men carrying Payne through the lobby, with two dressed in suits and one casually clad with a backpack. Nearby, two women were seen watching the scene unfold near the reception desk. The group reportedly escorted Payne to his third-floor room at approximately 4:54 p.m. local time, as captured by another CCTV camera.

Earlier that day, guests reported Payne behaving erratically, including an incident where he smashed his laptop in the hotel lobby. Hotel staff eventually intervened and escorted him back to his room.

Audio from a hotel staffer’s call to emergency services described the alarming situation: “We have a guest who is [allegedly] high and drunk. When conscious, he’s destroying his room. We urgently need help because I’m unsure if his life is in danger.” They expressed further concern about Payne’s access to a balcony, fearing for his safety.

By the time paramedics arrived, Payne had tragically fallen from the balcony in what officials confirmed was a state of semi or full unconsciousness. His death was not classified as a suicide.

The heartbreaking incident has left many mourning the loss of the beloved singer, with Cassidy’s grief highlighted by those close to her as she continues to process the loss.
