The adventure of a lifetime, fly fishing for tarpon in Isla Holbox Mexico and surrounded by thousands of 100 lb. fish! The excitement was palpable as we boarded our panga and headed out into the Gulf of Mexico.
The saltwater fly fishing was incredible. Fly fishing tarpon with Holbox Tarpon Club is all about sight fishing for tarpon . The fish were everywhere! We would see hundreds of Tarpon roll on the surface and cast to them. Getting the sink rate right was key as I stripped the fly back through the schools of tarpon as fast as I could.

Isla Holbox Mexico is a Tarpon fishing paradise! The locals were incredibly friendly and helpful, always pointing us in the right direction. The fishing was incredible. It was hard to leave the adult tarpon, but we would fish for monster tarpon in the morning and baby tarpon in the afternoon.
