Oonche Log (High Society People) is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Phani Majumdar. It is based on the play Major Chandrakanth, by K. Balachander. The main character roles of this film were played by Ashok Kumar, Raaj Kumar and Feroz Khan.Its lyrics were composed by Majrooh Sultanpuri and the music was given by Chitragupta.

The film was shot at Vauhini Studios, Chennai and was also noted as the first big hit of newcomer Feroz Khan, who was noted for his sensitive performance against veterans such as Raaj Kumar and Ashok Kumar. At the 13th National Film Awards it won the award for Second Best Hindi Film

Oonche log
Rajnikant, a young man, falls in love with Bimla but soon abandons her after he learns about her pregnancy. When she commits suicide out of despair, her enraged brother sets out to seek revenge.

Storyline :-
After the passing of his wife, Lakshmi, retired Indian Army Major Chandrakant, though blind, lives a wealthy lifestyle with his two sons, Rajnikant, a member of the National Cadet Corps, and Inspector Shreekant. He would like to get Rajnikant married to Pallavi, the only daughter of hen-pecked school-master Gunichand, as well as get Shreekant also married to another girl, both on the same day. Gunichand accordingly makes arrangements for a joint wedding to take place on 11th May. Before that could happen, Rajnikant, who has to return for training, must undertake a journey to visit a woman, Vimla Prabhu, whose husband is ill, and Chandrakant gives him some money from his wallet. Quite mysteriously, Chandrakant's finds all his money missing, and after inquiring, will get Shreekant to admit that he had taken the money without permission. Chandrakant does not know that Shreekant is not being forthright and is concealing a terrible life-changing secret..

.Plot...
handrakant (Ashok Kumar), gets blind during warfare, has two sons Inspector Shrikant (Raaj Kumar) and Rajnikant (Feroz Khan) along with a faithful servant Jumman Miyan.
Major Chandrakant promises his neighbour Master Gunichand (Kanhaiyalal) to get his daughter Pallavi married to Rajnikant. But he falls in love with Bimla (K. R. Vijaya) at Madras during Cadet training, who gets pregnant, but he is not ready to accept her, due to fear of telling the truth to his father. Rajnikant returns to Madras on receiving a telegram from Bimla, and asks her to abort the child and returns, but Bimla commits suicide and her brother Mohan (Tarun Bose) vows to avenge his sister's death, follows him in the train and kills Rajnikant is now on the run from the police and takes refuge in the major's house who confesses that he is not a murderer, but actually is a professor, and had killed a person in rage because he had deceived his sister. The major keeps him away from his inspector son and asks him to stay for the night in his attic. The major receives a telegram about Rajnikant's death and finds that he is the same murderer of his son and is ashamed that his son had done such a misdeed.
Inspector Shrikant returns home to be apprehended by Mohan with a pistol but is overpowered by Shrikant and arrests Major Chandrakant for abetting a killer.
