The things around us are always moving and they move in different ways. What words can we use to describe how things move?

Things can move fast. The race car is zooming around the track. The cheetah runs quickly across the savannah.

Things can also move slow. The tortoise crawls slowly on the ground. The snail moves slowly along the leaf.

Some things go up and down. The kangaroo hops up and down in the outback. The people bounce up and down on the trampoline.

Other things move round and round. The merry-go-round goes round and round at the fun fair. The dog chases its tail, going round and round.

There are things that spin too. The spinning top whirls on the table. The ice-skater twirls on the ice.

Sliding is another way things move. The girl slides in her sled down in the snow. The kids slide down the waterslide. Looks like fun!

Bounce! The basketball bounces on the court. The tennis ball bounces on the tennis racquet.

Some things like to swing. The monkey swings from tree to tree. The girl swings back and forth on the swing set.

Things can roll too. The bowling ball rolls down the alley. The rock rolls down the hill.

OK, let's see if you can tell how these things move.
