The sixth Delhi Queer Pride 2013, conducted on Sunday, 24th November 2013. People joined in to celebrate the diversity within the gender spectrum fighting for the cause of gender equality with slogans of "Hum Anek Hai" and "One India".

It was a colourful show of solidarity and support in the Capital on Sunday as over a thousand members and supporters of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community gathered to participate in the sixth Delhi Queer Pride Parade.

The participants marched from Barakhamba Road in Connaught Place towards Jantar Mantar. The event, which started at 3 pm, went on for four hours.

The Pride Parade is seen as an avenue where people come openly and claim their rights to access public places fearlessly.

Every year the Delhi Pride Community, which organises the Parade, comes up with something unique to make the event more fun. This year it organised events such as the Queer bazaar, fund raising parties and placard making sessions.
Started in 2008 with just 35 people, the LGBT participation has grown tremendously over the past five years. It is not just attended by the queer community, but also by family members and people who support them.
