Rob Shanks discusses the rate of recurrence after completing a successful course of IDD therapy, explaining that most patients who undergo a follow-up maintenance program—such as monthly or bi-monthly top-up sessions during the first year—tend to avoid relapse. Patients who skip this maintenance often experience a recurrence of symptoms around the 12-month mark, although some remain symptom-free even without top-ups.

Robert graduated as an Osteopath in 2000 and subsequently furthered his education with postgraduate courses in medical acupuncture, electrotherapy and clinical Pilates (with the renowned Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute).
