It’s said that a bullet slowed down by a fish tank saved a man — but can a water-filled aquarium actually stop a bullet? We tested the claim using three identical tanks (water, sand, plants) and a crash dummy.

What happens in each test:
• Small bullet — glass broke but water slowed the bullet; back glass held and the dummy was safe.
• Larger bullet — more power, but water resistance stopped the round before the dummy.
• Slug (most powerful) — front & back glass shattered, but the slug lost energy in the water and sank before hitting the dummy.

Conclusion: A properly filled fish tank can stop bullets — but this is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone at home.
