Is This Worth It? - Walking 100 Miles Across The South Downs Way Day 2/4

Описание к видео Is This Worth It? - Walking 100 Miles Across The South Downs Way Day 2/4

Hello and welcome back - This video you join me on day two of my 4 day trip across the South Downs way. A walk that has ancient stories to tell spanning from burial mounds dating back to 2000bc to crashes from the world wars and many more.

These very hills were once carved out by ice ages as little as 100,000 years ago

I start this walk in Winchester the official recognised starting point of the 100 miles South Downs way , and finished day one in queen Elizabeth’s country park.

My goal is to walk 25 miles a day in order to hit 100 in 4 days , and I try to avoid towns and villages as much as possible.

On day two you join me soaking wet and cold to the worst morning of the trip , morale was low and I was close to wanting to give up - I pushed through and ended the day in bignor after fighting wind and rain for most of the day the weather eased of and gave a beautiful sunset for the evening where I camped at the edge of some woodlands with farmland views .

Hope you enjoy and see you on the next one.
Thanks for watching.
