Vangoa MINI Banjo Guitar
This is the second instrument that was in the box with the 6 string full size banjo guitar
this is a short scale version. It took me a bit of time to get the video out because there was a problem with the tuning. The company said it was tuned just like a guitar EADGBE but in fact I discovered that it would not stay in tune. the strings felt to floppy and the intonation was terrible. One night I just thought of the fac that ukuleles are about the same scale length as this banjo guitar and they are tuned GCEA which is the last four strings of a guitar with a capo at the 5th fret. So i decided to try tuning it up to ADGCEA and that worked beatifully as you will see on the video.
Now it sounds great and is of the same quality that all of Vangoa's instruments have had.
