For this track, I once again utilized the Squarp Rample Sample Player as a 4 x looper. I curated a library of WAV files sourced from freesound.org, available under a CC1 https://creativecommons.org/publicdom... license and tagged with „walking". To achieve this, I developed a Python script that leverages the freesound API. I prepared and converted the downloaded files for import into the player using another Python script, transferred them to the SD card, and played them simultaneously in the loop mode of the Squarp Rample.
Throughout the process, I extensively utilized the "Randomize" function to take advantage of the player's internal effects for altering the sounds. I then routed the 4 tracks from the Squarp Rample through a Sequential Switch (Erica Synths SEQS), fed them into a sculptable filter, and applied effects using FX AID and Happy Nerding. A modulated drone plays in the background.
